In 2019, after surviving a heart attack, I realized that if I had been gone,
so would these stories…
So I revamped this website providing everyone a way to read my work and the opportunity for others to stage them. And later, with the belief and support from The Poeta en San Francisco Publication Fund and PAWA Press, I wrote a book to celebrate the places and people that raised me: San Francisco, Sacramento, and the Monterey Peninsula. Living in these cities helped me write stories for a stage that not only harnessed the empowering belief of Representation Matters, but gave me the foundation of what being part of a WELGA (a labor movement) provides: strength, resilience, compassion, and community. Never Give Up.
